The 60-second Mercedes-Benz Super Bowl XLV ad celebrates the German auto maker’s 125th anniversary. It also features five of its newest models. This is the first time the car maker has ever advertised during the Super Bowl.

In addition to a cameo by Kanye West, the ad includes a soundtrack featuring Janis Joplin singing, you guessed it, her 1971 hit “Mercedes-Benz.”

The F 800 Style, “multi-drive” concept car riffs on the same technology used in the S 400 Hybrid and the B-Class F-Cell.

But the look is brand new, sort of…it’s actually reminiscent of the classic 300SL Gullwing Coupe.

The F800 “research vehicle” is scheduled to appear next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
