<p>The Dodge Dart almost made its debut as the as the Zipp. But the name Zipp was nixed, so Dart stuck.</p>
<p>Produced from 1960 to  1976, the Dart was initially heralded as a lower-priced,  shorter wheelbase, yet full-sized Dodge. By 1962, it was a mid-size. From 1963 to 1976, a compact.</p>
<p>Then, defunct.</p>
