Beginning with the 1966 Pontiac GTO Dean Jeffries transformed into a boat-sized T-Bucket for The Monkees‘ television show that ran from from 1966 – 1968, Edmunds Inside Line’s top 100 list includes plenty of obvious choices — Green Hornet’s 1966 Black Beauty Imperial; General Lee, The Dukes of Hazzard’s 1969 Dodge Charger, and the 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit (pictured) James Garner drove in The Rockford Files.

But there are surprises, too. Like the 1983 Wagon Queen Family Truckster from National Lampoon’s Vacation and the 1979 Dodge Power Wagon from Simon & Simon.

Whether you’re driving a 1969 Dodge Charger in Valdosta, Ga. or a 1966 Chrysler Imperial in Los Angeles, Ca., OdoClub will help save you money on the purchase of your next automobile. And the rewards earned in this one-of-a-kind dealership loyalty program can be redeemed at participating automotive dealerships for discounts on goods and services.

Now that The Green Hornet has been released, vintage auto buffs can get a first-hand look at the nearly 30 1964 – ’66 Chrysler Imperials that were used to make the movie.

Some of the Imperials were decked out with .30-caliber M1919 Browning machine guns, hood-mounted and retractable. And just like in the 1960s TV series, the car (also a vintage ’60s-era Chrysler Imperial) includes front- and rear-bumper loaded Stinger missiles.

Only two of the original Chrysler Imperials used in the 1966 TV series — the one that starred Van Williams and a then unknown Bruce Lee as Kato, Black Beauty’s driver — still exist. Both have been completely restored and neither were used in the new movie.

In order to film Black Beauty’s scenes for the new movie, 29 ’60s-era Imperials were fit with roll cages, some were cut in two, and at least one had it’s suspension beefed up enough in to survive long leaps and intense landings.

Check out Wired’s rundown of Black Beauty’s gadgets.

Whether you’re lucky enough to roll down the 405 in one of the many Black Beauties or cruise Pacific Coast Highway in an original Batmobiles, OdoClub can help save you money on the purchase of your next vehicle.

To promote the next Green Hornet movie starring Seth Rogen opening Jan. 14, Black Beauty has been positioned on the the side of the Petersen Automotive Museum on L.A.’s Miracle Mile, a section of Wilshire Boulevard in that is known for its many museums.

Based on the 1966-1967 TV series that starred Bruce Lee, The Green Hornet movie will feature 29 1964-66 Chrysler Imperials. During the making of the movie, many of the Imperials were crashed, some were cut in two, and at least one was punctuated with bullet holes.
