A man tells the story of how he acquired a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL, “parked the thing in the woods and the weeds for about 10 years,” then wised up, dug it out of the woods and eventually resurrected it and grew to revere it.

“People see the lump under the canvas and they wonder what’s under there and I sort of hesitate to tell them exactly what’s in under there, and I just tell ‘em it’s some old Ford,” he said.

“I used to be unmerciful to that car,” he admits.

Ford Model A motors to the Motor City

A Traverse City, Mich. man’s pledge to drive his Ford Model A Tudor sedan for a year as his regular car took him to the Detroit Auto Show.

The 270-mile drive to Detroit took place as Jonathan Klinger was three months into his one-year commitment. He started driving the 1930 Model A everywhere on Oct. 13, 2010.

Long time gone: Stolen Mustang comes home after 35 years

A 1966 Ford Mustang stolen in 1974 has been returned to its owner – after 35 years.

Jack Klunder, president and publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News, was go glad to have the black Pony car back that he had to resorted to its original condition.
