BMW’s Mini, the AC “Shelby,” the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing,” and Volkswagen’s Microbus are just a few of of the 10 “damn-near perfect” cars recently picked in a survey conducted by readers Of Wired’s Autopia.

Many of the “near perfect” cars are rare, vintage and pricey. Like the original Aston Martin DB5 made famous by James Bond in Goldfinger. On the other end of the automotive spectrum, the 1950-1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus — or Bus — also makes the list.
