Hyundai’s latest eco-friendly concept vehicle is being revealed this week at the Geneva auto show.
The aerodynamic i-flow, with a look that has been described as “fluidic sculpture,” is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in next year.
The i-flow’s features an adaptive front spoiler and side rocker blade, jewel-like headlamps and tail lamps and Hyundai’s hexagonal grille.
But it’s what’s under the hood — and on the roof — that takes the vehicle to a deeper shade of “green.” The i-flow has a diesel-hybrid powertrain, which includes two-stage turbocharging for the 1.7-liter engine that works with a lithium-ion-polymer battery and a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission.
The i-flow also has solar panels on the roof and a thermo-electric generator that recovers energy.
