SEMA Preview

SEMA show starts today in Las Vegas with the big press and reveal day.  Already some cars and trucks have been revealed and tomorrow will be a big day for manufacturers and specialty companies looking to move some product.  This years biggest presenters are the US automakers and the companies that are modifying their rides.  The Chevy Camaro will have a great showing this year not only from Chevrolet but also from such great shops as Hennessey and Lingenfelter.  We can expect to see a convertible Camaro and a Z28 at the Chevy booth and a host of high horsepower rides from a multitude of aftermarket tuners.  Ford will have no shortage of its own muscle cars at SEMA, expect to see at least 8 2010 Mustangs with different levels of modification.  Ford will also be showing off a 400 HP ECOBOOST V6 in a 1934 Ford Coupe.  You can also expect to see a showing of Tauruses from VIP style to MRT-Directs “Best of SHO”.   Chrysler will be short this year, like it has been for the last 3 years, previewing so far only the 1320 Challenger and the MOPAR Jeep sporting 40 inch terrain killing tires.

Smaller manufacturers will not be forgotten this year.  Hyundai this year will be showing a slew of Genesis Coups off starting with their own 2.0T R-Spec.  Greedy is looking to make 500 HP with a Genesis Coupe and have it ready to show on the floor at SEMA, but not to be out done Hennessey is going to make it with their own all Carbon Fiber Genesis.  Suzuki plans to have 4 of its own vehicles to show.  The big news from the Japanese manufacturer is the introduction of the Kizashi midsize sedan.  To go along with the big news is 3 big statements from 3 different tuner companies, starting with Road///Race Motorsports Kizashi Platinum edition.  Westside Autogroup is showing off the Kizashi Soleil which is all body kit and paint, the Delta Tech Engineering has its own take on performance by improving handling and lowering weight on the Kizashi.  ICON Vehicle Dynamics will be showing off a lifted and enhanced Equator Truck for the off-road crowd. Import Tuner will also be showing off their Kizashi.

From crate motors to custom one make cars SEMA will have everything that aftermarket fans are looking for.  Check back here at OdoClub for a show recap and photos.
