The Tokyo Motor Show begins today. With that a slew of new and future models are being announced from mostly Japanese Automakers. Green cars, sports cars, and green sports cars are the talk of the show this year. First up is the Lexus LF-A super car, Toyota’s first entry into the super car world includes a V10 engine that revs to 9000 rpm and maxes out at 560 HP. The LF-A will run 0-62 MPH of 3.7 seconds and top speed of 201 MPH but is limited to 500 units. Next up is the Nissan Leaf, the all electric vehicle has been announced for production in the near future along with the NV200 all electric commercial vehicle. Last but certainly not least is the much anticipated Honda CR-Z. The spiritual successor to the Honda CR-X, the CR-Z will sport a 1.5L hybrid drive train and an optional 6-speed manual gearbox. This will be the first hybrid vehicle designed with a 6-speed manual transmission and will be built as a sports coupe.
