challengerChrysler’s Dodge brand earned above average scores in J.D. Power’s latest car owner satisfaction survey — a surprise, considering Chrysler hasn’t done so well in year’s past.

Another surprise: Hyundai, which beat out higher-priced mid-sized luxury cars from BMW and Jaguar.

J.D. Power’s APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) survey polled 80,000 new car buyers, after 90 days of ownership, asking them to rate as many as 90 different features of their vehicles.

The new Dodge Challenger was named the most-favored mid-size sporty car.
